Booster Pump Systems in NY: Callaghan Pump’s Featured Projects

Water pressure is critical when it comes to ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of water within a NY building. It is crucial in various aspects of daily life, affecting both residential and industrial settings. Low pressure can lead to various inconveniences, such as slow-filling bathtubs, inadequate irrigation, etc. For those facing issues with low water pressure, water pressure booster pumps are the best solution.

Callaghan Pump – Dominating the Pump Industry for Over a Decade

Over the past few years, Callaghan Pump has emerged as a leading provider of booster pumps for water tanks. They address the low water pressure challenges with their innovative water pressure booster pumps designed to elevate water pressure in any setting.

Let’s explore some of Callaghan Pump’s featured projects that showcase their expertise in enhancing booster pump systems in NY:

  1. 450 Lexington Avenue, New York

When 450 Lexington Avenue was having issues with its existing triplex water booster pump, Callaghan Pump provided a viable solution to the problem. The solution was to replace the existing pump with higher efficiency pumps and variable frequency drives that control premium motors. The old pump system was replaced with a high-quality, branded triplex equal split 150 hp.

  1. The Empire State Building

No matter the project, working on a landmark of such historical significance is always remarkable. While there are numerous water pressure booster pumps in the Empire State Building, Callaghan Pump had the pleasure of supplying return pumps, fire pump control panels, and jockey pumps for the fire pump system.

  1. IRS Triplex Pump System Holtsville, NY

The contractor purchased a simple triplex variable speed booster system from Callaghan Pump and installed it utilizing Yaskawa IQ Pump 1000 drives and Aurora 341. A close-coupled end-suction pump was installed to boost the water pressure throughout the building complex. The pump is located outdoors with lighting and heat using a hot box.

  1. Prince Street Project

This project was in Flushing Queens, where Callaghan Pump provided a duplex variable speed domestic water booster to the NYC Licensed Plumber. The water pressure booster pump system comprises the Yaskawa IQ Pump 1000 drives and Aurora 341 close-coupled end-suction pumps to supply residents with adequate water pressure. A Torna-Tech controller was also provided with an automatic transfer switch to send electricity to the fire pump panel during a power outage.

  1. Time Warner Building

This was the largest construction site in NYC, where each pump was required to move 200 gallons of water per minute. The project consumed seven duplex sump pumps for water drainage, two for sewage, and two large duplex tank fill systems. The tank fill systems consisted of horizontally mounted multi-staged segmented ring pumps. Additionally, Callaghan Pump distributed ductile iron pump casings and high-grade impellers and diffusers.

  1. 780 3rd Avenue, New York

Callaghan Pump was initially called because the tank fill system required an overhaul. The owner was trying a new system, for which Callaghan Pump was a distributor. However, the owner later replaced the pump system. Vertical multi-stage pumps that have proven to be much more reliable, efficient, and service-friendly were supplied.

These are just a few of the top projects featuring water pressure booster pumps by Callaghan Pump. If you have any questions regarding booster pump systems in NY, contact us for more information.
